What's On?

Monday 16th
BOUNCY STEM: Let's kick-start the first camp day of the year with a spring in our step. Literally: we well learn about the three laws of motion and make our BOUNCY BALLS to take home. In the afternoon, we will make our own bubble architecure.

Tuesday 17th
BABY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE! Days are getting longer but winter is still very much with us, so let's talk about the chemistry, physics and biology of fire, HUMAN KIND'S MOST ANCIENT AND SCIENTIFICALLY SOUND WINTER ALLY!
Juniors scientists: build and take home your own (safe) candle see-saw STEM toy.
Senior scientists: you will use your chemistry knowledge to make colourful flame sticks
Afternoon: weird and wonderful exothermic reactions. Use chemistry to get a little heat

Wednesday 18th
FUN FINANCE: fire changed the way we live, socialise and trade. Hop on the time bike to find out how and make your own kid-friendly, mini fire extinguisher.
Thursday 19th
STEM DAY: Rainbow Shooting Bath Bombs
They are all the AQUATIC rage; they seem to accomplish the impossible: these are bath bombs that shoot colour jets. How can that be? We will find out and will make our own specimens to take home. Bathtime= chemistry time!

Friday 20th
Pesky Patogens Run (Simulation)
YOU SPOKE, WE LISTENED! Earlier this winter a few students asked to know more about germs and how our bodies fight these pesky invaders. That's what we are up to today (without unleashing a bio-hazard)! We will make fake snot and while we are at it, we are going to talk about viscosity and why different kinds of snots, run differently! We will prove it with a fake snot run to see why flow means low. GROSS but FUN!
Afternoon: Friday Party!!
